Shaw Trust is national charity working to create brighter futures for the people and communities we serve. We work in partnership with a wide range of organisations to provide employment opportunities, skills, training and health and well-being services across the UK. We also operate charitable social enterprises, retail shops and work alongside Shaw Education Trust, which runs a diverse chain of academy schools.
Over the coming months we will be finalising our approach to delivering the Work and Health Programme, the new DWP employment programme designed to support people on health related benefits and people who are long-term unemployed back in to sustainable work. We know that the best services need to be designed in partnership with local third-sector experts who already deliver services locally and who know what works and what doesn’t.
We would therefore like to invite charities and voluntary sector organisations to a Work and Health Engagement Event on Thursday 6th October 2016 in Central London.
Venue to be confirmed.
The purpose of this event will be to:
- Provide third sector organisations with an overview of the Work and Health Programme;
- Explain our approach to working in partnership with local community providers including opportunities to work together on the Work and Health Programme and other programmes;
- Hear from you about your experiences (good and bad!) of similar programmes and what can be done differently this time round; and
- Give you the opportunity to input in to the design of a new service which has the potential to make a positive impact on the lives of thousands of people living in London.

Refreshments will be provided and there will be plenty of opportunity to network with other organisations and meet members of the Shaw Trust team.
If you have any questions about this event then please contact Phil East at Philip.firstname.lastname@example.org
We look forward to seeing you all there.
